Dr. Nataša Jović Orsini is a Senior Research Associate at the VINS, where she has worked since 1999.

Nataša earned her BSc. (1999), MSc (2003) and PhD (2010) in physics from the University of Belgrade, with the emphasis on magnetic and structural properties of spinels. During 2005-2007 she was working at the ENEA C.R. Casaccia in Rome (Italy), exploring the structural, morphological and electrical conductivity properties of graphite and its composites. In 2008 she passed through one-month training in refinements of crystal structures from X-ray and neutron data by FullProf program at the Ångstrom Laboratory, University of Uppsala (Sweden). In 2010 she got a fellowship from the Serbian Ministry of Science and Technological Development and continued research as a postdoc at the Institute of Nanosciences Aragon (INA) in Zaragoza (Spain). In 2017 she got the STSM fellow, through the COST Call, TD1402 RADIOMAG. During the postdoc and the STSM, her main activity was focused on the synthesis and characterization of ferrofluids for application in magnetic hyperthermia. Nataša’s current research interest is focused on physical processes in nanomaterials which are competent for their usage in biomedicine. Her job-related skills include: crystal structure/microstructure refinement and magnetic properties investigation (using Mössbauer spectroscopy and magnetic susceptibility SQUID measurements). She is a coordinator of on-going the bilateral project between the Republic of Serbia and Croatia (2019-2021). Nataša has published 34 papers from SCI list that have been cited more than 530 times (h-index = 12). She is a reviewer in selected journals: Chemistry of Materials, Journal of Physical Chemistry, Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, Nanotechnology.
