The Vinca Institute, University of Belgrade, Serbia, announces the open Post Doctoral position for the MagBioVin project funded by the FP7-ERAChairs-2013 program. The candidate should be an established researcher with a proven track record in high quality research on the physical properties of magnetic nanoparticles for biomedical applications.
The position foresees a one-year full-time engagement with the possible extension up to three years. The anticipated responsibilities:
– Research on nanomaterials based on 3d and rare-earths oxides, and stabilized ferrofluids;
– Magnetic properties investigation of biocompatible magnetic nanoparticles/ferrofluids including magnetic hyperthermia effects;
– Collaborative research work in the multidisciplinary environment;
– Participation in the new project proposals preparation for future European and regional calls;
– Dissemination of results through publications in scientific journals, conference contributions, and promotional activities.
Description
The Post Doctoral position foresees a one-year full-time engagement with the possible extension up to three years. The position comprehends following responsibilities:
Research on nanomaterials based on 3d and rare-earths oxides in nanocrystalline form as well as stabilized ferrofluids for application in biomedicine;
– Magnetic properties investigation of biocompatible magnetic nanoparticles/ferrofluids – DC and AC magnetic measurements; magnetic hyperthermia measurements; numerical modelling of magnetic relaxation phenomena;
– Collaborative research work in the multidisciplinary environment;
– Participation in the new project proposals preparation for future European and regional calls;
– Dissemination of results through publications in high-ranked scientific journals, conference contributions, workshops, and promotional activities.
Required background and qualifications
The candidate must be an established researcher (category R3, or at least category R2, in the European Framework for research careers) in one of the following fields: physics, physical chemistry, materials sciences. Closely related fields can be also considered. The advantage will be a proven experience in multi-disciplinary working environment. Fluent knowledge in English is mandatory.
